NEW VISION FELLOWSHIP: Broken People Becoming Whole

Meet the Staff at New Vision

Carlene Nisley

Lead Pastor

Pastor Carlene

Carlene’s approach to ministry is to be a servant leader. She is authentic in her relationship with others and she preaches with passion in a way that makes God’s Word applicable to our everyday lives. Her focus on growing in relationship with God, growing in community with each other, and making a difference in our world through action has become the mantra of the church family at New Vision. Carlene’s enthusiasm is contagious, as she proclaims God’s vision for the church. She says, “God desires followers who will obediently go where he is leading. He has promised to do greater things than we can even imagine if we follow obediently. It is an exciting time to be part of the family at New Vision!"

Pastor Carlene has been Lead Pastor of New Vision since October 2014. She was ordained in 2011 and graduated from Portland Seminary (previously George Fox Evangelical Seminary) with a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership in 2013.

Carlene has three grown children, two daughters and one son, as well as a great son-in-law and daughter-in-law. She has 5 amazing grandchildren. Carlene is widowed, after a 40 year marriage to her husband Ted. She continues to be committed to pastoral ministry and speaks of God's grace that lovingly allows gratitude and hope to be experienced in life even in times of grief and loss. In her spare time she enjoys time with family, playing with her grandkids, taking care of her two dogs, reading, spending time with friends, and participating in any activity that allows her to soak up some sunshine.

Assistant Pastor, Children's Ministry

Kristina Leader picture
Kristina is the Children's Ministry Coordinator at New Vision Fellowship. She loves working with the kids and is truly a child at heart. Her passion is making sure the Children's Ministry is as fun and exciting a learning time as she can make it. She is currently working her way through the ordination process and has hopes of being a pastor some day. She has been the coordinator since January of 2015 and absolutely loves being a part of the New Vision Community.

In her professional life, Kristina works as a caregiver for senior citizens. She loves what she does and enjoys having a job where she can take care of people. Getting to spend her time making an impact in the lives of others is something she is glad she has the opportunity to do.

At home, Kristina is wife to her husband, Michael, and mama to three rambunctious kids. She loves to bake, sing, dance, write, read, and color in coloring books. She can often be found hanging out with her kids or playing a game on backyard date nights with her husband. Someday, she dreams of having a little farm in the country with a wraparound porch.
